Intera Corporation invested over eight million dollars developing the world’s only patented permanent moisture transport technology for synthetic textiles. "So what..." Invent a car that gets 100 miles per gallon... "So what!" The invention is worthless until you can clearly demonstrate it will get 100 miles per gallon. Invent the world’s only permanent moisture transport technology that makes fabrics cooler, warmer, soil resistant, odor resistant and bacteria resistant. You should say... "So what, prove it." Today there are many false claims about moisture transport and so little proof of those claims that Intera Corporation thought you might want to hear our thoughts on how you can determine which is the best moisture transport technology. DOES YOUR MOISTURE TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGY SUPPLIER PROVIDE YOU WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION OF THEIR TEST RESULTS? Intera Corporation provides to anyone full documentation of our test results and detailed procedures in our 36 page "Technical Textile Review". Just ask us and you will have it the next day. PROOF! Drying Time for .77 grams Drop of Water to Evaporate Through a Standard Weight of Similar Fabric in Construction and Ounces/Square Yard.
Included in Intera Corporation’s "Technical Textile Review" are chapters on: · Bacteria
Resistance.
ARE YOU PROVIDED A DETAILED TEST PROTOCOL? In Intera Corporation’s "Technical Textile Review" we provide a detailed test protocol so that you can easily repeat our logical tests. We want you to repeat the tests. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IS BEING TESTED? Intera Corporation tests for moisture transport capability and for the durability of that moisture transport capability. We also prove Intera’s bacteria resistant properties.
ARE THE TESTS LOGICAL and EASY TO UNDERSTAND? Any test should make sense as it relates to textile moisture transport and the durability of the moisture transport. Utilizing the "100 miles per gallon" car metaphor again, tests that measure frictional coefficients of the moving parts of the engine as measured by the heat conducted through the block may have something to do with miles per gallon but why not just measure miles per gallon?
IS THERE A WASH TEST PROCEDURE? Intera Corporation’s wash test procedure is scientifically controlled yet closely replicates home launderings. An improper wash test procedure will provide inaccurate durability results.
IS THE TESTING DONE AT AN INDEPENDENT LAB? If the testing is done at an independent lab, request to speak to the lab personnel. Independent labs are valid test sites yet results can be selectively released by the lab’s customer (your textile vendor). Be sure that you cover all of the above points when talking to the lab. IS THEIR TECHNOLOGY MILDEW, FUNGUS, BACTERIA AND ODOR RESISTANT? Other technologies need anti-bacterial finishes to reduce odors. They are active chemicals using heavy metals to destroy odor causing bacteria (microorganisms). These chemicals are not permanent and will wash out over time. Because of the dry nature of the Intera® technology bacteria is starved of the water it needs to survive. In fact, the Intera® technology starves microorganisms of water thus preventing mildew, fungus, bacteria and odor from developing.
PROOF! Below are three pieces of
fabric in a petrie dish:
Each piece had equal amounts of Candida yeast placed on it. The dish was then covered for 48 hours. Yeast grew in the cotton because it holds moisture. Yeast developed in and under the polyester because it acts like a barrier blocking evaporation. The Intera® polyester had no yeast develop under it or in it. PERMANENT IS PERMANENT... Claims are made that other moisture transport technologies are permanent for so many washes. This can be misleading because the moisture transport capability decreases with each home laundering, in fact these other finishes lose up to half of their capabilities after only ten home launderings. Our Moisture Transport Performance Test is done after scientifically controlled wash and dry cycles that closely replicate home launderings.
PROOF! The graph below shows the results of the time it took for a .77 gram drop of water to evaporate through 1.33 gram pieces of fabric of similar weight and construction. These results are of the best topical finish that has been tested. All other finishes performed even worse. Now imagine buying that 100 mile per gallon car and after one month it got only 50 miles per gallon. Not only would you be very upset you might consider it fraudulent. Wearing a polyester shirt without moisture transport capabilities in the heat of athletic battle will not only be hot but could be dangerous.
